Kim Herrington
Director of Programs, Whole Kids
Kim joined Whole Kids in 2012 and crafted the strategic approach and vision for the Foundation and built the programs to achieve the mission to improve children's health and wellness through nutrition. She strategically designed the programs to address children's nutrition at various life stages to change their relationship with their food and transform their access to nutritious food, all the while preparing for the future by building capacity. She believes this is equity work - all children deserve to be well nourished.
Whole Kids now supports over 10,000 schools, school districts, and state and federal governments with transformative programming - working towards the vision of a healthier tomorrow for our children. To date, she's managed the investment of over $50M to improve nutrition at schools and increase children's consumption of more nutritious, healthy, and delicious meals.
Before joining the Foundation, Kim had an extensive career in education, corporate finance, and management consulting, managing strategy development and improvement initiatives. Kim earned her MBA with an emphasis on strategy and evaluation from the University of Chicago and her BS in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
